Directions
Directions is a simple application for keeping track of your favorite locations and places. These could be everything from that really nice coffee place or that friend's house to where you parked your car earlier in the day.
You can also take photos that gets added to the map as an annotation of where you took it. Perfect for showing friends and family your last holiday location or that long nice walk you just discovered. You can also save the photos to your iPhone's Photo Library.

You can easily send these locations* to friends using normal text messages. What happens is that the location gets converted into a hyperlink and then copied to your clipboard. The application then closes and opens the text/SMS application with the chosen receiver already filled in. You can then write a short message and paste the location hyperlink. Once received on the other end the user just clicks on the link and it's automatically added in the "Directions" application. *(not the photos)

You can also send your own current location. By doing this you and your friends can easily tell each other where you are. This can help in situations like: "Hey! We're downtown, come by for a drink". By ending that text message with a location link enables the receiver to know exactly where they are. The user interface will tell in what direction that location is at and also how far away it is. If you got a compass in your iPhone, an arrow will also show in what actual direction this location is at, in relation to where you are and how you're holding your device.

There will soon be more information here about how to do certain things with the application. For example, you can click the arrow at any time to center your own position on the map or zoom and center the route if you got a location selected.
