Wand Keyer This is a screenshot of the Wand Keyer parameters: ![]() Key coordinates (pickX and pickY): This is the coordinate where the keyer is taking it's color. If "continuous" is "on" the keyer will grow the matte from this point as well. Link tracker: This button opens a small dialog where you can choose to connect trackers that already exists in the script to "pickX" and "pickY" Tuning (scaleR, scaleG, scaleB): This group is for fine tuning if necessary. It scales the picked RGB values separately so you can weight you key accordingly pickType: This drop menu sets the way the keyer picks the key color. If it's set to "Pixel" it samples only one pixel at the exact coordinates. If it's set to "Cross" it samples 5 pixels in a cross/plus with a 50 percent weight to the center pixel. If it's set to "Box" it samples 9 pixels in an 3x3 area with a 50 percent weight to the center pixel. If the image is very noisy/grainy it is better to choose for example "Box" instead of "Pixel" to get a more accurate sample of the actual region. tolerance: This sets the magnitude of the key, and is the main parameter to tweak. If "continuous" is "on" and the tolerance is set to high, the key will 'bleed' over it's borders so you have to be a bit careful here. softness: This sets the border softness of the generated key. If it's at 0 the key will be totally hard edged. If it's set at exactly the same as the tolerance the key will be as soft as possible. continuous: This is a toggle to choose if you want the key to 'grow' out from the choosen coordinates ("on") or if you want to key on the whole image as with traditional keyers such as Keylight ("off"). The default is "on" because it's the main idea with this keyer. There are cases where you want the whole image though, because of the way this keyer chooses the color to key on. matteMult: This is the standard toggle for premultiplication "on" or "off" Back |
